Cooking up a good scare is easy enough, nothing more than congealing the correct ingredients, which I happen to know of firsthand.

Cooking up a good scare is easy enough and is nothing more than congealing the correct ingredients.

While some of the best recipes are merely a matter of taste, most will include both darkness and solitude as a base. Keep in mind that no concoction is ever the same and although you may have one consistent ingredient in mind, be aware, the addition may or may not work.

Experimentation is highly encouraged, as is adding a pinch of apprehension here and taking away a dash of security there.

Of course, don’t be discouraged if the recipe doesn’t work well the first time. Continue slicing and dicing, chopping and grinding, gashing and cutting and eventually a tasty and delicious compound will be perfected, complete with spine shivers and frightful extra glances toward the darkened corner.

Yours truly began creepy cooking at the ripe old age of eight, after inadvertently stumbling upon that very first ingredient. I had eaten quite hearty and to this day can still vividly recall the savory delight. Exquisite was the taste, and I now blame that first ingredient to fully contributing to my becoming the connoisseur I am today. That first feast introduced a lingering taste that appears to be chronic and so yep...whether it be reading, writing, watching or creating, I have to admit there is often close comparison so yep, I admit it. I got a habit. Not only that, but I seem to be leaning toward manufacturing too.

Rarely have I been able to duplicate and have pushed away from the table unfulfilled. Regardless, this chef has never given up, and never will, for that delicacy is far too enticing. Of course, there has been many days when the craving was rather forceful and on times like these I tend to lean on two specific ingredients that from experience absolutely work. If servings are a concern, these two ingredients, without question, have fulfilled many; probably more cravers than non, and thus, are superb considerations. Ready to get cooking? Here's a few hints to get you started... WARNING - DO NOT press play prior to the hefty dose of dark being added. A surround sound is highly suggested, but not required. Now for those ingredients...and yes, this first one is ironically, quite comparatively meaty, where the latter may be viewed as a spice or rub. The first ingredient was George Romero’s 1968 zombie opus masterpiece Night of the Living Dead and if following the recommendation, start from the very beginning, otherwise the window of simmer to fast rolling boil could be lost, leaving one hungrier
